1914 Birmingham Antique Sterling Silver Hallmarked Pocket Watch Albert Chain.
Here’s a rare early Art Deco Post Edwardian WW1 Era British made sterling silver pocket watch single albert watch chain. The chain has the British sterling silver hallmarks. The t bar, clasp and links have the British lion hallmarks indicating it’s sterling silver 92.5% silver and has the maker’s initials J.R. The links have the maker’s initials J.R. stamped twice which makes this chain unusual. The t bar, clasp and ring has the letter P in the normal font indicating the chain was made in 1914. The large ring has the anchor hallmark indicating the chain was made in Birmingham, England. The chain was made during WW1 and not many chains if this era survived since the majority of them were melted down over the years for their silver content. The chain is in excellent condition it’s 17 inches in length and it weighs 55.2 grams.
