  • Condition: Heavy sterling silver watch chain & fob. From an estate. Total weight is 87 grams. Each link of the curb chain is stamped with lion passant. The T bar has lion passant, date letter code "S" for 1872, and maker's mark "J.M". The dog clip is marked the same. The fob has Chester city mark, lion passant, date letter code "K" for 1893 and maker's mark "W.J.P". Links on the chain are graduated and also the chain twists slightly by design. From clip to large bale which has two bales attached is 11". From the clip to the bottom of the fob is 14 3/4". The fob is a swivel fox. Carnelian on one side, bloodstone on the other. A couple of teeny fleabite chips to edge of stones. One on each side. The silver knob on the end of the fob looks like it may have held a tiny jewel but not sure. See photo. Widest links on chain are 3/8". FABULOUS piece!
