Used, Refurbished, Fully Tested and Working. 256GB mSATA solid state drive comes with Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit preinstalled and updated, and Dell Latitude E7250 and E7450 drivers installed. Since some E7250 and E7450 hardware configurations are different, you may have some drivers that still need to be installed. These drivers are saved in a folder in Downloads. Please note that we are not selling any software and that Windows 10 Pro has been preinstalled for your convenience. It has not been activated. The buyer must have a Microsoft digital license or product key for Windows 10 Pro. If Windows is not activated within 1 month, some features will no longer work. PLEASE NOTE:
The Secure Boot feature in the BIOS Setup must be disabled. If it is enabled you will get a "No bootable devices" message after installing a new drive.
The buyer must have a Microsoft digital license or product key for the exact version of Windows 10 installed.
These SSDs are for people who purchased a laptop with no drive or whose drive has crashed and do not have the Windows media or know-how to reinstall the operating system and drivers, but do have a license or key for the exact version of Windows installed. A license or key for any other version of Windows 10 will not validate Windows 10 Pro.
If you don't own Windows 10 Pro, but want to upgrade to it, you can purchase a key from Microsoft. There are also a lot of sellers on eBay selling Windows 10 keys for under . Just do a search on eBay for "Windows 10 key" or "Windows 10 license."
Virtual/Digital Windows 10 Licenses
A digital license is a virtual product key. If you previously upgraded from an older version of Windows to Windows 10, you have what is known as a digital or virtual license. That means the Microsoft servers already know you have a Windows 10 license for that laptop, which is linked to serial numbers of several pieces of hardware they identified in your laptop and it will be automatically validated by Microsoft without you putting in an actual product key. While you do not need a physical product key in this case, you do need to know if you own Windows 10 Pro or Windows 10 Home as the installed version on the hard drive must match the version you own.

Can I install this hard drive in another model of laptop?
Yes, but the drivers installed are for the Dell Latitude E7250 and E7450 only. The hardware in any other model will be different, so if Windows 10 does not automatically install the other drivers needed, you will have to find them and install them to get all your hardware working. Also, not all laptops have a mSATA slot.
Do I need to have a license or product key for the exact version of Windows?
Yes. All Microsoft Windows licenses are version specific.
Does it matter if I had the 32-Bit version installed before and now want the 64-Bit version?
No. A
Windows license or key  is version specific as in Home or Pro, but will validate either 32-Bit or 64-Bit version of that same OS. Even if you had 32-Bit installed before you can switch to the 64-Bit version and validate it with the same license or key.
What if I do not have a license or key or want a version of Windows that is different from the one on my COA?
If you don't have a product key, or you want to upgrade to Windows 10, then you can purchase a Windows 10 license from Microsoft. There are also a lot of sellers on eBay selling Windows 10 keys.
