Since some hardware configurations are different within the same model, we have saved alternative drivers to a folder in Downloads. Please note that we are not selling any software and that Windows 10 Home has been preinstalled for your convenience. It has not been activated. The buyer must have a Microsoft digital license or product key for Windows 10 Home. If Windows is not activated with your product key within 1 month, some features will no longer work. These solid state drives are for people who purchased a laptop with no hard drive, whose hard drives have crashed, or who want to upgrade from a HDD to a SSD, and do not have the Windows media to reinstall the operating system, but do have a digital license or product key for the exact version of Windows installed. A license for any other version of Windows will not validate Windows 10 Home

Virtual/Digital Windows 10 Licenses
If you previously upgraded from an older version of Windows to Windows 10, you have what is known as a digital or virtual license. That means the Microsoft servers already know you have a Windows 10 license for that laptop, which is linked to serial numbers of several pieces of hardware they identified in your laptop and it will be automatically validated by Microsoft without you putting in an actual product key. While you do not need a physical product key in this case, you do need to know if you own Windows 10 Pro or Windows 10 Home as the installed version on the drive must match the version you own.

Why upgrade from a standard SATA hard drive (HDD) to a Solid State Drive (SSD)

The choice is basically whether you prefer more speed or more space for the same money. A 256GB 2.5" SATA III SSD costs more than a 500GB 2.5" SATA Hard Disk Drive, but operates at a much faster speed and is more reliable.
Can I install this solid state drive in another model of laptop?
Yes. The drivers installed are for the HP ProBook 640 G2 and 650 G2, but the HP EliteBook 820 G3,
840 G3 and 850 G3, and the ProBook 430 G3. 440 G3, 450 G3 and 470 G3 have almost identical hardware. If the hardware is  different, Windows Update will automatically install most of the drivers needed. If not, you will find them at HP's support website.
Do I need to have a product key for the exact version of Windows?
Yes. All Microsoft Windows licenses are version specific - a license for Windows 10 Pro will not validate Windows 10 Home.
Does it matter if I had the 32-Bit version installed before and now want the 64-Bit version?
No. A
Windows license will validate either 32-Bit or 64-Bit version of that same OS. Even if you had 32-Bit installed before you can switch to the 64-Bit version and validate it with the same license.
What if I do not have a product key or want a version of Windows that is different from the one I own?
