, the fun place to shop. We are happy to offer a nice vintage hand wind pocket watch. The watch along with others were purchased at an Estate Sale in upper Michigan. My understanding was that the original owner was a avid Pocket Watch collector since the 1950's. The face has a white tone with fine gold scrolling printed on it along with burgundy
numerals.

is printed on the face. The crystal is cracked and there is several small repairs done to the ceramic face. The case is a gold tone in color and the back of the case has an etched design. (see pics).The edge is a coin edge design. Watch is not running I can wind it and if I tilt it it runs until you lay it flat. On the inside of the back outer cover there is a hand scribed Watch Makers mark,
11-8-S VCO.
On the movement cover is stamped with a flag that has a star in the center the cover also has a hole for a key wind movement so I believe the case was replaced at one time since the movement in the watch is hand wind.
The movement has
SOLAR WATCH Co., 1865, CHICAGO, #2669386
. engraved on it. Measures: 2 1/8" dia. (54mm),18 mm thick and weighs 3.8 oz. In good condition for its age.
