Vintage Cairns Fire Helmet.
Red.
Black badge on front. Gordon FD
Label inside helmet reads "Cairns Sanitary Cushion Lining".
Cairns & Bro. on inside of brass cross pieces on badge in front.
The red almost look like it was repainted. I don't know for sure.
There is a Cairns & Bro tag on the inside. Size 7 1/4 and 10 2 81. See picture.
Could be a date?
Estate sale find.
I don't know anything about fire helmets.
Some scuffs and scratches on top.
